About Liza Tangney L.Ac
Liza Tangney is a Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine.
She received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from New England School of Acupuncture at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, MA.

Liza completed both Chinese and Japanese style Acupuncture programs. In addition, she studied Orthopedic Acupuncture, Applied Channel Theory with Dr. Jason D. Robertson, Cosmetic Acupuncture with Dr. Shellie Goldstein, and Acupuncture in Oncology Patients. Recent continuing education studies include Core Training in Acupuncture for Post-Stroke Care with Dr. Claudia Citkovitz and Neuro-Meridian Acupuncture with Dr. Poney Chiang.
Prior to her studies in acupuncture, Liza’s journey in holistic healing began when she graduated from Bancroft School of Massage Therapy, Worcester, MA, in 1990. Through the years, Liza’s diverse interests, passion for learning, and pursuit of putting puzzle pieces together opened the door to many areas of study on Human, Equine, and Canine bodies alike. The diversity of her studies shaped perspective and treatment approaches.
Some highlights include Myofascial Muscular Therapy, Biosynchronistics, Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Zero Balancing, Oncology Massage, and Bodywork during the Childbearing Year.
Liza Tangney has completed two Yoga Teacher Trainings. The first in Integral Yoga at the Satchidananda Ashram in 1996 and the second in Kundalini Yoga through the KRI Institute with Mehtab and Guru Karam/Laura Benton in 2020.
